It’s easy to imagine the kind of inspiration the Olympic Peninsula has given Stephanie Meyer while writing the book series. The Twilight Forks tour is best for the book series readers. The cost of making the movie was the major determining factor and required locations with amenities, lodging, rentals and equipment. Most of the film set locations were in Oregon and around Vancouver, Canada. The Twilight movie series was not actually filmed in Forks, WA. They blocked off the Twilight displays, however, can still be seen from a few feet away.įorever Twilight in Forks gallery and La Push Beach were closed during our visit. While planning our Pacific Northwest road trip, admittedly, I was most excited about the Twilight Forks tour. It’s in this sleepy town that Stephanie Meyer chose as the new home of Bella Swan, the story’s heroine. With the amount of rainfall it receives each year, Forks is surrounded by lush rainforest cloaked in emerald green mosses with wilderness and beaches only minutes apart from each other. It is the rainiest town in the contiguous United States nestled inside the Olympic National Park. The Twilight book and movie series effectively placed the small logging town of Forks on the map. ![]()
